FAQs

Flags are $30 and will be available to order when pre-sales go live on July 9th. Please note that poles are not included.

Share your personal Captain page URL and let neighbors, friends, family, co-workers, and community groups buy flags directly from you. Additionally, people within a 5-mile radius of your pick-up location will have the option to place orders with you.

CURE will send you a weekly sales report for all flags purchased under your name. If you want reports more frequently, just let us know!

Flags will be available for pickup at the CURE office and designated satellite locations around town for your convenience. If you’re out of state, your flags will be mailed to you.

There will be two rounds of captain pick-ups. ALL captains must pick up during the First Round, to ensure purchasers get their flags on time. A Second Round of pick-up will be available for those willing to continue sales.

  • First Round Pick-Up: Saturday, August 23 – Thursday, August 28
  • Second Round Pick-Up: Wednesday, September 10 – Friday, September 12

For captains doing First Round ONLY, sales on your page will close at 12pm on Friday, 8/22. If you sign up to continue sales and do a Second Round of pick-up, sales on your page will close at  12pm EST on Tuesday, 9/9.

No. You will designate the location and times that flags will be available for purchasers to pick-up from you.

All Captains will designate their own location and times for pick-up. For example, you might designate your garage, front porch, or neighborhood clubhouse. You could even choose a satellite location, like the Publix parking lot. Be sure to establish a window of time for pick-up.

Designated pick-up location best practices

The more flexibility you offer within your window of pick-up, the more likely people are to buy flags from you. We understand that Captains have busy schedules and may need to limit or shift distribution at times. Before signing up to be a Captain, please determine your pick-up schedule. By sharing that up front, you and your flag buyers can ensure a smooth hand-off.

Examples of pick-up schedules with varying levels of availability include:

The answer is simple: cancer research is an ongoing battle, and each year’s flag fuels the next wave of potential breakthroughs.

Captains are incredible volunteers who help promote and sell flags, while also providing local pick-up spots for buyers.

Enter your address in the designated field and the map will show all available captains within a 5-mile radius. By clicking on the captain names, you’ll be able to see the pick-up location and schedule for each captain and choose the one that best fits your schedule.

Use the dropdown menu to find your captain and purchase your flag through their captain page.

If no captain is detected near you, you’ll be prompted to purchase a flag to be shipped directly to you (an additional shipping fee applies).

Flags will be ready for pick-up from your captain starting the week of August 25th. Your captain will email you to let you know when your flag is available. The exact day may vary from captain to captain.
